Jin Seok HEO*
Division of Hepatobiliary-Pancreatic Surgery, Department of Surgery, Samsung Medical Center, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine, Korea

Lecture : Radical Antegrade Modular Pancreatosplenectomy (RAMPS) was first introduced in 2003, as a new standard procedure for adenocarcinoma of the body and tail of the pancreas. The goals of the procedure are complete resection of the tumor with negative tangential margins and removal of regional lymph nodes. In this section, one typical case of RAMPS operation will be presented with a description of clinicopathological characteristics of the patient. Also, a single-center experience in RAMPS operation will be briefly introduced, with the number of cases by timeline, clinicopathological features of the patients, and survival rates.
