Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to HBP Surgery Week 2020 & 52nd Annual Congress of the Korean Association of HBP Surgery from July 27 to 29, 2020, in Seoul, Korea.

As we all know, the world has seen a fair bit of challenges this year due to COVID-19, which led us to make the difficult decision of moving the congress from March to July. Nevertheless, the global epidemic and community infections have not yet come to an end, so this year’s congress will be held both onsite and virtually. This is a big challenge for us, but it will provide an exceptional opportunity to learn the most up-to-date science and clinical practices.

For passionate HBP surgeons, the congress theme of “A Leap from the Foundation to Fine Art,” will be a great opportunity for all participants to meet in an influential HBP surgery platform, share the advances in our field and discuss the knowledge gaps. Networking and exchanging our personal clinical perspectives with worldwide experts will make this congress an enriching experience for us all.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the KAHBPS organizing committee for their steadfast efforts despite the postponement of the congress. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our all participants including our world-renowned speakers and chairs for their continued dedication and unwavering support of the congress.
