Introduction : Plants and their bioactive compounds are valuable for human being since very early age and are also important sources of medicine to treat numerous human disorders. Coumarins are important class of heterocyclic compounds consist of 1, 2-benzopyrones ring, which have anticoagulant, antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and anticancer properties.

Methods : Present work summarizes important data of psoralidin for prevention and treatment of human disorders. All the collected data of psoralidin have been analyzed through various in-vitro and in-silico methods. Isolation, detection and quantification data of psoralidin have been also collected and analyzed to make better authenticated. Moreover available data of in-silico docking study was also collected and presented in the present work. All the data have been scientifically analysed and represented to know the impact of psoralidin in modern system of medicine.

Results : Information of psoralidin presented in this work is very concise and precise. From the above presented data’s, it has been found that, psoralidin is used for the treatment of psoriasis, leucoderma and leprosy, however Psoralea corylifolia showed anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, antitumour, and immunemodulatory activities. Data also revealed that, psoralidin have activity against prostate cancer, esophageal cancer and breast cancer. Further study also proved that psoralidin has immunomodulatory and anti‑inflammatory activity. Psoralidin have commercial importance because of their unique pharmacological properties against numerous human disorders. In-silico analysis data showed that psoralidin have good score for inflammatory responses.

Conclusions : Present work summarised information in very scientific manner by which we can get important information of psoralidin for the development of medicine.
